Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire (RRFB) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012. Its mission is to restore and protect coral reefs around Bonaire and Klein Bonaire.
Today, over 14,000 corals are grown in RRFB eight nurseries and over 30,900 corals have been outplanted back to Bonaire’s reefs.
For a year, I took on RRFB's online marketing. This included posting on social media platforms, directly communicating with donors through email, and sending out a quarterly newsletter.
Additionally, I launched a few campaigns for fundraising purposes. Meanwhile I kept RRFB's website up to date, for example by adding blogs.
"Keep Bonaire's Coral Nurseries Afloat" - Campaign
With the aim of having people donate to RRFB, we set up a campaign which I created marketing material for. I promoted these in several posts and stories on social media. RRFB's social media platforms plus the newsletter and direct emailing led people to a donation page on the website I created for Reef Renewal Foundation International.
Even though it was launched during trying times where many other organizations were in urgent need of funding, this campaign still managed to collect a fair amount of donations.
Additionally, I wrote, filmed on land, and edited a fundraise video which was posted on Facebook. It explains the urgency of reef restoration, why RRFB needs funding, and it linked people to a donation page.

#GivingTuesday Campaign
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement. Leading up to this day of global giving, I designed a consistent template, to dedicate a unique thank you post to the RRFB coral loving community.
